Uniform Cycle is a continuous school-uniform reuse, exchange, restoration, and redistribution initiative by OUT Organization, designed to ensure that usable school uniforms continue serving students rather than becoming unused or going to waste.
The initiative creates a sustainable cycle in which students, families, schools, organizations, businesses, and individuals can contribute uniforms they no longer need and help connect them with students who need them.
Instead of allowing usable school uniforms to remain unused, Uniform Cycle creates opportunities for those uniforms to continue serving students and communities.
A uniform that no longer fits one student may fit another. A uniform from a student transferring to another school may help a new student. A worn uniform may be restored and returned to use.

Children grow. Families change. Students transfer schools. Uniform requirements change. As a result, perfectly usable uniforms are often left behind in homes, schools, cupboards, and communities.
A uniform that becomes too small for one student can still be useful to another student.
Students moving to another school may have uniforms from their previous school that can continue serving others.
Uniform Cycle treats school uniforms as resources that can continue circulating within communities rather than disposable items.
Every contribution moves through a process designed to keep usable uniforms circulating and connect them with students who may need them.
Students, parents, guardians, schools, organizations, businesses, and individuals can donate school uniforms they no longer need.
OUT Organization works to collect uniforms and connect donated items with students and families who may need them.
Supporters may contribute uniforms locally or help facilitate their collection and delivery through appropriate community channels.
Where practical, uniforms that need attention can be cleaned, repaired, restored, or prepared for reuse.
This helps extend the useful life of uniforms and allows more students to benefit from every contribution.
Available uniforms are sorted and matched according to relevant needs and requirements.
A student or family may contribute a uniform they no longer need and, where a suitable uniform is available, request or exchange it for one that meets their current needs.
The uniform returns to service and continues its journey from one student, family, or school community to another.
The cycle can begin again when that uniform is no longer needed by its next owner.
When a child outgrows a uniform, the family can contribute it to Uniform Cycle rather than allowing it to remain unused.
If a suitable larger uniform is available, the family may request one.
A student moving to another school can contribute uniforms from their previous school to the cycle.
Where possible, they can then request the appropriate uniform required by their new school.
Families who need assistance accessing school uniforms may participate by requesting available uniforms through the Uniform Cycle process.
Availability will depend on donations and current stock.
Uniform Cycle is open to support from people and organizations around the world. You do not have to live in Kenya to contribute to this initiative.
